History
The Arkansas Boll Weevil Eradication Program (ABWEP) is dedicated to eliminating the boll weevil, a pest that has historically caused significant damage to cotton crops. The program provides resources and support to cotton farmers, helping them implement effective pest control measures and improve crop yields.
ABWEP assesses all Arkansas cotton growers annually based on the acreage they report. Prior to 2021, ABWEP relied solely on the efforts of dedicated field staff to conduct its annual reporting and verification operations.
The Challenge
Before partnering with The Communications Group, ABWEP did not have a dedicated website. The lack of an online presence limited their ability to provide resources and support to the cotton farming community.
